Big Sioux Life is committed to making our website usable for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies.

Our approach

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We build with semantic HTML, clear heading structure, keyboard-operable navigation, visible focus, sufficient color contrast, meaningful alternative text, and support for reduced motion.

Accessibility tools

The site includes an accessibility panel (the button near the bottom-left of the screen) that lets you adjust text size, enable high contrast, use a more readable font, highlight links, enlarge the cursor, increase spacing, and reduce motion. Your choices are saved on your device. These tools are a convenience and do not replace accessible design.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some content may not yet be fully accessible. We welcome feedback and work to address issues we learn about.
